CCC Bargaining Update 8/2/18

Our Community College Coalition Bargaining Team assembled in Olympia this week on Wednesday and Thursday with management representatives to continue working towards a fair and equitable contract for the 2019-2021 biennium.

Our team, proposed our initial proposal for compensations on August 2. Our proposal focuses on addressing lost purchasing power due to increased costs, respect for our contributions to our campuses, and enabling our college communities to recruit and retain quality employees.

Additionally our team discussed numerous articles and reached tentative agreements on seven separate articles.

As this bargaining cycle continues, our team needs your support more than ever.

On August 9 there will be statewide Unity Breaks for #FairPay. Please attend and support the event nearest to you. Information of these events can be found here: https://wfse.org/unity-breaks-august-9

Our Community College Coalition Bargaining Team is scheduled to meet again next week — August 7, 8 and 9. Show your support for your team at your campus and give a shout-out to your team. Let them know you appreciate all the hard work they do on your behalf.
