We have no Demands to Bargain at this time however there is an issue impacting ECAP employees due to the teacher strike and LCC’s insistence members cross picket lines.

We met again on a Demand to Bargain in July on new physical requirements for staff working with children.

We will be meeting again on a Demand to Bargain in July on new physical requirements for staff working with children.

5/2018

We met for two Demands to Bargain in May.  One issue was new physical requirements for staff working with children and a change in hours of operation for the Early Learning Center.     

4/16/18

We have two outstanding Demands to Bargain.  The College is proposing to change the employee break are to a new location that is away for any food services and much smaller.  The other Demand to Bargain is related to the Summer Schedule and recall for those working on CTC Link.   

 2/19/18

We met February 20th on a Demand to Bargain regarding Respirators Policy and Procedures.  We also discussed another policy 245 which was revised Workplace Safety.  We looked at a policy regarding Part-time Hourly and Student Employees Leave.  We are currently engaged in discussion with OFM regarding an MOU on this subject and will review the policy in light of the MOU.  The Union Management meeting also covered Head Start Grant renewal updates; a proposal to move the breakroom for staff; Another policy regarding Acceptable Use – IT which was reviewed and revised at the request of the Ethics Board – some portions were clearly outdated and training will be available soon to ensure clean implementation.  The UMCC Chair will be reaching out to staff for a STTACC rep.
